One of my greatest joys lies in capturing the immense beauty, wonder, and playfulness of the human spirit through my lens. With nature as my backdrop, my approach is natural and relaxed. I am married to my prince, and am mama to an angel.

I am happiest when I feel the grass on my toes, and the warm sun on my nose.

I live to Love. And I love to truly Live.

And I owe all that I am, all that I have....to the One that gave me life.

A Glimpse into my Heart...

Every child deserves a chance at Life. I am a passionate advocate of Adoption, and look forward to the day we will adopt a child of our own in the near future. If you have adopted a child within this past year, I would be honored to celebrate that with you by offering you a complimentary portrait session of your beautiful family.

I am also a proud member of The Littlest Heroes Project, providing free photography sessions to children who are suffering from serious illness or life altering disabilities.

We asked Joanna to do a 'family portrait' for us. We got so much more than we asked for! We have priceless photographs that are absolutely breathtaking! Her natural love for children and photography is VERY clear in every picture! We have our photos framed throughout our home and you can't help but smile every time you pass them! Children grow fast and you really have to capture those moments! I wouldn't trust anybody but Joanna with that job!

it is so difficult to put into words how i feel about joanna's work. she does so much more than just capture an image. she captures the magic, wonder, delight, beauty, and very essence of every precious child that she photographs. her work is both timeless and priceless. my son dominick has had the priviledge of being photographed by her numerous times, and those photographs are true works of art that i will treasure for a lifetime. rhode island has gained an amazing artist with an untouchable talent, and i count down the days till she will return to south carolina so she can capture the sweet spirit of my new baby isabella through the lens of her camera.

Joanna took photos of our family, mainly our two boys aged 3 and 5 and we were thrilled with the results. My (very active) boys did not know that they were having their photos taken as Joanna keeps the atmosphere so very casual. We walked around outside while the boys played on the rope swing, climbed huge oak trees and goofed around on the dock. Joanna was continuously taking photos and the boys did not even know. They had a blast, we loved talking and visiting with Joanna and the end result was gorgeous photos.
As far as I'm concerned EVERYONE should have Joanna take their pictures. Her work is truly amazing. She sees all the things we 'regular folks' don't and captures it. Beautiful. Timeless. Forever.

Joanna expertly captured such a special and precious time in our lives when she took our maternity photos. I cherish the photos and they are some of the best pictures of us we have ever had taken...even better than our much pricier wedding photos from another photographer. Not only is she an excellent photographer, but she is kind and made us feel at ease and very quickly got the photos back to us. We wish she still lived near us so she could take pictures of our current pregnancy!

I can't say enough about Joanna and her work. She has a unique way of capturing a moment unlike any other photographer I know. She has a natural talent that comes from her love of life, children, play, and beauty. She is able to see what we can't and can capture it forever. Time goes by so fast and I never want to miss a moment. Joanna has captured that for us. The photos she took of my 1 year old son and our family are so sweet and playful. In fact I even blew one up for over my fireplace. We love her work and can't wait for our next session.
